Faizal is one of the founding members of IPVOLUSI and assumed the role of Director since its inception in 2010. He is currently Vice President of Corporate Finance in Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP), where he is responsible for coordinating the M&A and strategic acquisition efforts of KWAP in the property development, financial institutions and healthcare sectors, in the domestic and global markets.

Faizal has over 15 years in accounting, corporate strategy, corporate finance and M&A advisory services including valuations and financial due diligence. Prior to KWAP, Faizal was in Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGV) Berhad where he was a key member of the Due Diligence Working Group (DDWG) in the Initial Public Offering exercises of FGV’s sugar division, Malayan Sugar Manufacturing (MSM) and FGV Berhad in June 2011 and June 2012, respectively. He co-led the corporate finance function of the DDWG which was responsible for developing the market valuation of the listed entity and ultimately, both FGV and MSM’s proposed share price offering. Prior to FGV, Faizal was an Assistant Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Kuala Lumpur where he had over 7 years of experience, providing financial statutory audit and advisory services to multinational corporations, listed and private entities mainly in the plantation, consumer & industrial manufacturing, property development and infrastructure sectors. He played a critical role in the M&A advisory team which was advising on several high-profile mergers & acquisitions transactions including the merger of Sime Darby, Golden Hope & Guthrie plantation groups and the disposal of MSM, previously owned by the esteemed Kuok Group, to FGV.

Faizal holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting & Finance from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University and is a Certified Practising Accountant of Australia (CPA Australia) since 2005.
